Robocall FAQs

phone
Why do I receive robocalls?
Expand

You may be receiving robocalls because scammers have gotten a hold of your phone number, either because it is publicly available online (like in your social media profile), was exposed during a data breach, or was sold by a third party.

It’s possible you were specifically targeted, but most commonly robocalls are autodialed (autodialing technology allows spam calls to be made to a high volume of almost random numbers).

Your phone number may also be on a list of people who have previously engaged with a robocall or phone scam (scammers often share these lists with each other).

How can I tell if a robocall is a scam?
Expand

The FTC estimates annual losses of $1,200 per phone scam. The second you sign up for our service, you’re protected from more than 500 million known phone scams in our global database. To date, Robokiller has prevented more than $400 million in losses to phone scams.

How can I avoid falling for robocall scams?
Expand

Robokiller offers the most customizable call blocking on the market. Control the level of blocking you want, create custom block/allow lists, pause blocking when you’re expecting an important call, pre-screen safe but unknown numbers, set phone number range blocking to reduce spoofed calls, and more.
